Bodek and Rhodes Reconfirms Social Responsibility with Declaration

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Bodek and Rhodes, a leading wholesaler of imprintable activewear, recently restated its commitment to social responsibility with a Public Declaration of Responsibility. In this document, Bodek and Rhodes pledges that it "aspires to be a leader in social accountability within the wholesale apparel industry by promoting a positive culture with respect to human rights and the continuous improvement of working conditions."

To that end, the company outlines a number of worker-friendly policies, including ensuring that all its business partners abide by safe and fair labor practices. All garment manufacturers of their private label, UltraClub, are currently certified by WRAP (Worldwide Responsible Apparel Production) -- an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing. New factories the company considers must also seek accreditation.

Additionally, the company's hat and bag lines also follow strict SGS testing guidelines - the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company - the global benchmark for consumer product integrity.

"We've always been a family business with the motto 'do the right thing'," says Mike Rhodes, president. "And that's not just about great customer service. It's also about taking care of the people and world we live in. I think that's why it's important for us to stand up and say that fair and safe labor and products are the only kinds we'll use at Bodek and Rhodes."

"Our customers can confidently sell Bodek and Rhodes products knowing they were made upholding the highest of working conditions," say Rhodes. "Plus, our hats and bags have been thoroughly tested for safety to protect our customers from liability, but more importantly to simply protect the end users."

In addition to supporting workers' rights and the safety of their customers, Bodek and Rhodes also supports environmental responsibility. Bodek and Rhodes is a member of both the Organic Trade Association and the Organic Exchange and was a pioneer in offering more than thirty eco-friendly styles and accessories, including organic-cotton tees and polos, bamboo caps and recycled tote bags.

Bodek and Rhodes is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA with distribution centers in Philadelphia, PA; Niles, MI; Fresno, CA; Orlando, FL and Norton, MA.
