PHILADELPHIA, PA – Bodek and Rhodes, a leading wholesaler of imprintable activewear, recently reconfirmed its commitment to social responsibility by offering proof of early compliance with the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act. These letters of compliance are all readily available online at BodekandRhodes.com.
While the CPSIA has granted a one-year stay on testing and certification until 2010, Bodek and Rhodes has announced their dedication to social responsibility by requiring safety and fair labor statements from all of their suppliers.
In August of 2008, the Consumer Product Safety Commission created the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA). Primarily concerned with the safety of children's products in regards to hazardous substances and flammability, the CPSIA enhances and clarifies product safety laws in the U.S. This law also governs some wearables items and requires imported products to prove adherence to CPSC safety regulations with a General Conformity Certificate.
To help protect end-users' safety and to protect customers' businesses from lawsuits resulting from nonconformance with this act, Bodek and Rhodes provides confirmation that all applicable products are manufactured within CPSIA requirements.
In addition to supporting workers' rights and the safety of their customers, Bodek and Rhodes also supports environmental responsibility. Bodek and Rhodes is a member of both the Organic Trade Association and the Organic Exchange and was a pioneer in offering more than thirty eco-friendly styles and accessories, including organic-cotton tees and polos, bamboo caps and recycled tote bags.
Bodek and Rhodes is headquartered in Philadelphia, PA with distribution centers in Philadelphia, PA; Niles, MI; Fresno, CA; Orlando, FL and Norton, MA. More information on Bodek and Rhodes, CPSIA compliance, their full line of organic and eco-friendly wearables, and the complete Declaration of Responsibility are available online at www.BodekandRhodes.com.
